Hi Robert (Karate Kid). Mmmm! You should change your user name to “Wet Karate Kid” better wet name for you.
What made you take up karate? When you went into the bath in your karate gi did you jump in or do you do what I do and slowly watch your karate gi get soaked? What colour belt did you get? Would your 2 boys take up karate and do you think they might like getting soaked in a karate gi?? Do your boys know you did karate when you were a kid?
I have a challenge for you. Had another look at your previous post “The Fallen Tree - Robbie's Next Wet Adventure” posted 21 November 2021. First of all when we grow up and turn into parents responsibility, work, money etc get in the way you forget to play and giggle maybe take a bit of a risk. I am shure that Robbie and Sam would love to get you soaked when they are with you on those walks. I hope this challenge will bring back that kid deep inside you that once liked to get wet.
Karate Splash
What you need:
White karate gi with the correct colour belt that you once had. Karate rules say that males are not allowed to have anything under the gi jacket.
Take the boys to the same part of the river and fallen tree as you did in your story. You all step into the river. Robbie and Sam stand opposite each other with you in the middle in your white karate gi.
Objectives
Robbie and Sam when battle starts you must get the karate kids white karate gi soaked with water from the river. The both of you must stay in one spot and can only use your hands to throw the water onto the karate kid. If one or both of you move from your spot or use anything other than your hands to throw the water you will get a penalty at the end of the battle.
Karate Kid when battle starts you must defend yourself and prevent the water soaking your white karate gi making it go transparent. You must not let all those years going to karate class go to waste. Use all your karate moves that you have been taught to block or duck and stop the water going on you.
10 points for each move
-10 points if you fall over into the river.
100 points if you use the crane move that was used in the Karate Kid film.
To start the battle everyone bows down looking at each other then stand up then the battle starts.
The battle ends when the white karate gi is 100% saturated and can no longer hold anymore water. Karate kid must lay down on his back in the river arms and legs out. This is the sign of defeat and the battle stops.
Points and penaltys
Karate Kid if you get less than 1000 points you must go under the waterfall for 1 minute.
Robbie and Sam if one or both of you get a penalty you must go under the waterfall for 1 minute.
