That was a fun story. I like those science lab emergency shower stories, as it usually involved people getting a clothed shower spontaneously and unplanned. Never saw an emergency shower used when I was in school. In 7th grade, the teacher might have said something about letting someone try out the emergency shower on the last day of school or something, but I moved out of that town halfway through the year. In high school, all the science labs with showers were on the third floor of school, generally directly above a computer lab. No one trusted the drainage pipes to not leak down and destroy the computer labs, so it was forbidden to pull the emergency shower unless it truly was an emergency, otherwise it was an automatic suspension. So yeah, that didn't happen at my school.
