I expect its too late, but just out of interest has he still left the tags on? If so, it would be great to leave them on for the test. Gain some real kudos with his classmates.
Another question. You mention his mate wearing a jacket. Is that a suit type jacket, or an outdoor coat. You haven't mentioned it, but do they need to wear coats on the last day. Maybe Robbie could point out to the teacher that if he fell in, he would be very unlikely to have time to take his coat off first.
