Unplanned swim

We planned on going for a walk along a coastal path today, whilst we're away on holiday. I was wearing shorts and a long sleeved white shirt. I was only wearing it as we'd been out the previous every for a meal and had only worn it for a hour or so, also with the sun so hot it'd protect my arms more than a t-shirt.
So we stumbled across a beautiful bay with Crystal clear turquoise waters, and with the heat I knew I needed to paddle. The beach was quite busy and the water cold do I kept my shirt on intending to only go as deep as my knees...
Several small waves broke near my getting the bottom of my shirt wet, then a bit of a swell which soaked my shirt up to my chest.
At this point I didn't really care, I was in a new white shirt, half soaked and clinging to me on a boiling hot day. I just went for it at that point, lower myself completely under the water. I swam for about half hour, my shirt completely submerged bug those around me knew what I was wearing...
When I came out, my shirt clinging to my body, absorbing the heat from the sun, I knew I'd done the right thing. I sat there and allowed the sun to dry me, before setting off home.
