I’m definitely someone who loves being shirtless except when swimming. I’m pretty athletic, and almost always run shirtless. I belong to CrossFit where I can work out shirtless as well which I love. I also tend to go barefoot a lot.
Quick story, about 2 years ago when i was in my second year of college I was studying in my room wearing only gym shorts when some girls from the floor came in to talk to y roommate. They hung out for a while and the conversation turned to the fact that I was seen without a shirt pretty often, whether working out, playing frisbee or just chilling outside. Somehow a challenge came up (I don’t even remember the details ) and I was challenged to go shirtless and barefoot for a whole week. One of the girls had added that I could wear ONE article of clothing - jeans or shorts - only. No undershorts. “ I want to see your v-line” she laughed.
It was a weird experience. Everyone in my dorm quickly knew what was going on so it was not awkward there at all. Where it was most awkward was actually in classes. I tended to try and sit in the back and not be noticed, and shockingly most people didn’t say anything. I had no problem using public transportation and only got a few comments, usually from less fit dudes. Even the food service on campus didn’t seem to care, especially since I mostly say outside. ON occasion my friends brought food out to me when it seemed too weird, like downtown. I even managed to go out clubbing since the bouncer was from my dorm and he explained it to the very cool owner; I was pretty nervous about being barefoot though.
The one thing I noticed the most was 1. How few people seemed to notice or care and 2. How many women seemed to feel they had license to touch me without asking. Like rubbing their hands on my chest or back. If I had done that to them I’s be incarcerated.
Anyway, later I’ll post a story about a fully clothed wet adventure I had this past summer.
